Mushrooms on Toast
Fred’s off to play cricket today so for breakfast he had sausages, mushrooms and a fried egg on toast. I just had mushrooms, sauteed in butter and thyme.

This morning Fred made breakfast bread, to his mum’s recipe. He used to eat this at home in South Africa when he was small. It was delicous, fruity and cinammony and perfect eaten with butter.

Fish Egg!
Well, an egg that’s shaped like a fish really.
I bought this for Fred from eBay, it’s a plastic mould that you squish a boiled egg into and leave to cool until it’s shaped like a fish. It’s from a Japanese seller who specialises in Bento box accessories, this is for a child’s lunchbox. [...]
Boiled Egg
Not just any old bolied egg but a goose egg. Fred had it for breakfast this morning, with soldiers. He said it was tasty, like a very good chicken egg. It needs to be boiled for 11 minutes meaning the white went quite hard but the yolk was nice and soft.

Fred’s Fried Breakfast
This morning, we were hungry and there the cupboards were bare so Fred made an emergency dash to the deli and came back with a bagful of goodies. He had a fried egg, some black pudding, some sweet-cured bacon, two pork sausages, some fried vine tomatoes and some French bread.
