Lamb Chops with Special Tabouleh

Posted By Stephen

We’ve started cheating with our photographs. We’ve bought one of these. It’s magical. It makes it seem like daylight when it’s clearly night time. Now we just have to become good at photography to make good use of it.

Anyway, back to the food, which is what this is all about. We cooked lamb chops marinated in garlic, lemon, parsley and some grated onion. We also made “special” tabouleh which contained bulgur wheat, spring onions, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, and the special additions… cherry tomatoes roasted in harissa and mushrooms roasted with crunchy salt.

The lamb chops were really tasty, a bit pink in the middle and also a little black on the outside because the marinade burnt a bit. Served with the special tabouleh, which was very good, and some khobez bread which we bought a few days ago and had unfortunately dried out a bit.

Great looking meal. I’m also struggling to get used to not having daylight to photograph in anymore. I keep meaning to build a little light tent, but never get round to it.

That looks fantastic! I think I may have to buy one as evening photography is getting really difficult now.

    Thank you both.

It seems pretty easy to use so far and is quite small too so won’t take up too much space.

Ah, what a brilliant idea! I now have an intense craving for lamb chops. Hold the tabbouleh though, I’ve just returned from the UAE where it was very abundant!

Hi, I was just wondering where you got your Ego light from? I’ve been looking to buy one but have so far just come up with the one place in Chiswick (Prokit) and was hoping to find somewhere cheaper! Were you able to find anywhere else?
    Thanks,
    Erika

Hi Erika; as it turns out, we did get ours from Prokit. We searched around a bit and didn’t find it anywhere else in the UK. We ummed and aahed about it due to the price, but bought it eventually. It is expensive compared to the prices that US suppliers are charging but it has made a big difference to our pictures, so we don’t regret having bought it. If you do manage to find it elsewhere, we’d be interested to know though!
