We spent the morning at a farmer’s market local to where my mum lives in Kent and, while we were there, picked up some sausages for dinner. Having used up all my cooking creativity over the last few days, I threw these in the oven while I made some mashed potatoes and some onion gravy. It was a relief not to have to weigh anything or consult any recipe books and while it’s not exactly gourmet, you can’t really go wrong with sausages and mashed potatoes
It is pure comfort food this! Ooo you’ve made my mouth water! xx

PS Just looking back – missed loads of entries again! That pavlova looks divine! What sort of flavour does the rosewater add?

I think it’s because I had a backlog of entries and posted them all at once but with different dates. It works OK if you view via a feed reader but not if you’re clicking direct from your blog as that will just show the latest update.
The rosewater is a very subtle flavour (unless you add loads!) but enhances the sweetness in the meringue and add a floral note.
Now, can you blog the effects of sausages from a farmers market from Kent please? I am sure the followers of DD would love to know!!!
It was nothing to do with my cooking I’ll have you know 😛
They do look excellent sausages!!
