Chicken Fajitas
We decided to make guacamole today in order to use up the avocados in the fridge, thinking about guacamole led me to crave chicken fajitas so Stephen kindly made some while I put the shopping away. They were tasty but not as hot as we usually make them.

Kerri had a day’s holiday today, and prepared this for when I got home, which was really nice 🙂 She’d fancied something with chicken and looked back through Dinner Diary to see what she could find. This post looked tasty, so she bought the ingredients and got to work. The result was very good indeed; […]

It was my Mum’s birthday on Friday (Happy Birthday Mum!) so yesterday we had a barbecue to celebrate. As well as the usual sausages and hamburgers, Stephen expertly cooked some garlic and rosemary lamb chops and some chicken which we’d marinated in a sticky barbecue sauce: We served this with tabbouleh and flatbreads and a […]

Having been on holiday in Spain last week, we mostly ate meat. Then yesterday we drove up to Suffolk where I was playing cricket and I ended up eating sausages for three meals in a row – sausage and mash for lunch, barbecued sausages in the evening and then another sausage as part of an […]

For snacks, […]

We picked up some Kentish strawberries on Saturday, the first ones we’ve had this season. They were ok but not that sweet and by Sunday they seemed past their best. While thinking about what to do with them we remembered Rossinis – Prosecco and pulped strawberries – that we’d had at the Anchor and Hope […]

Last night we planned a quick barbecue in the evening as it was such a nice evening. It turned out not to be that quick due to lighting the fire and waiting for it to be ready and also for choosing chicken thighs, which take a while to cook. However, when it was finally ready, […]

…and hot and sour soup of clams with chillies and lime (tom yam hoi nahm sai). It’s been a while since we’ve done our supposedly weekly Thai Monday, so over the weekend we hastily chose a couple of recipes and bought what we needed to. First up was Hot and Sour Soup of Clams with […]
